Got some jigs tied for my fishing trip this morning before the rain moves in. Caught my first crappie with my jig!!! If that isn't the biggest thrill I ever had fishing. I enjoyed coming up with the jig but when a fish takes it :)
Thought I would share the story with y'all and a pic of the jig and fish.

That's great Ronnie! Good looking jig and fish. I'm still waiting on that "first fish on my jig" feeling. It will probably rival calling up my first gobbler. I wish I would have saved some of those feathers! LOL Talk to you later.

Scott, I have thought about all those feathers that were tossed out over the years!!!

I used some Chart skirt for the tail and then used the darker hair of a pink bucktail. Tied them on with pink thread where the hook tip ends and sealed that section. Used black bucktail for the body and black thread. Tied on two sections of black hair to cover the remaining hook and lead.
I tied 10 of the jigs and each Tye looked better than the one before. I got a lot to learn.

Guys I know I am hooked on making Tye's!!! Thanks for the commits.
