Dying rabbit hair

I found a salvage store that is selling rabbit zonker jigs tied on a 1/8oz head for fifty cents a piece. Problems is they only have white and chartreuse. while white will work well on trout I have never had much luck with chartreuse. I was wondering if any one could tell me how to easily dye the hair on the jigs. I bought some fabric dye at a craft store but after letting it soak for 9 hrs. My hopeful black jig is light brown. Any help would be much appreciated.

If you want to make them easier to dye you'd have to bleach them first then dye the color you want.

Not positive, but think you need the water to be HOT to get the most vibrant colors. JungleJim did some feathers last year.... think he posted how he did it. Have to see if i can find that post.
