I see that the barrel of the vise head is knurled for finger gripping. Does it rotate?

I like this vise a lot. :cool:

JM - thing is very hefty! And a super deal- $48! Materials are worth more than that.

Pup - the end knurled cap does adjust for clamp pressure. No rotation - set screw in the 1st pic is to secure vise to the stem. The barrel looks like it was pressed into the block - outstanding machining!

Thnx JSC. Gonna have to start a Neo-vise section now - fellow tyers to post up their vises and maybe add pros & cons on them.

CH - lot of thought & craftsmanship went into this vise.

FM - only history I got for this vise is that it came from Santa Rosa Ca - It was part of a very large vintage vise collection ( managed to get 11 from the collection). The unidentified gentleman was a real tinkerer & tyer...
