Trip up to the trophy trout dam has been delayed (forgot about Easter long weekend! d'oh, it'll be crowded). Bloke told me the trout there have also been feasting on crayfish, so tried to tie a couple. The head is a Gamakatsu Cobra 29, 1/28th and no6 hook. Horizontal fall. Tied quick so a bit messy.

Did one in tan as well for the local sandflats as I'll try to find a quiet corner over Easter away from the crowds and maybe get to the dam next week.

I've never seen heads like that before, bottom right looks like a nice softshell crayfish imitation. A Gama #6 ?? Didn't know they even existed. What other goodies do they have down under that we don't know about.

Thanks guys.
You'll find out Jim;)
Gonna help my best mate check on his old boat on a public mooring in the Harbour tomorrow. Might just have to sneak some jigs along too: cleaning the hull makes for damn fine burley (our word for chum).

Pretty solid looking paint jobs, what kind?

Yup, no Gamis smaller than #2 in the USA but I say who needs em with 32833s available down to #10.

Bombora, Very nice looking jigs(AGAIN!!). Those jigheads remind me of my all-time favorites-Hawn's HU series, which catch me everything -I'm always trying to get him to produce a very light one such as you display! But there is definately something about that horizontal fall on a jig -lately I've been doing very well with bass, bluegill, and crappie with the jig dropping slowly in the horizontal mode -without this type of fall, fish won't touch it !

Hey Hawn, good ol' polish. John, yep love horizontal falls, specially in really clear water or no current. These heads also sit beautifully flat on the bottom and can rock a bit if rod's moves slightly.
Did go out and check my mate's old yacht this morning, added what happened in the zonker minnow thread coz that's the jig I used!
