Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend that included fishing. I sure did.

Went fishing with Brian Waldman of Big Indiana Bass on Saturday. Fought off the pleasure boaters to enjoy some pretty good fishing thanks to Brian's skill at operating his boat, analyzing his fish finder, and just flat-out finding the fish for us. We fished a variety of bottom structures at varying depths, but seemed to do the best, surprisingly, right in the middle of the pleasure boat mayhem.

These are run-of-the-mill crappie, but good action in between the swells.

We managed several crappie of this size and larger. I had really good success using a 1/16-oz. jig that I call a 'Chart Topper'. That's it in the picture. I believe I've posted it here, but it's definitely on my blog site. Also, had good success on 1/16-oz. tail spinners tied on darter heads with white eyelash yarn and silver Colorado blades (size 0).

Definitely, another memorable fishing trip. :)
