Colorado crappie

Hey guys just wanted to share that i found a couple crappie today here in Northern Colorado sad to say it wasn't on a jig i tied. Need to get some yellow material as that seems to be the hot color right now. Caught 7 here is the biggest one all on a yellow trout magnet 3 feet under a float. Still not sure of what kind of pattern they are on as i couldnt find any more of the little buggers!

Easiest thing to do is get some yellow marabou and tie a basic marabou jig. Heck, you can probably find yellow marabou at Micheal's, Hobby Lobby, etc. Not the best quality, but it works.

Nice to see some Co crappie. Yellow can be had either by paint, chenille or tail.
