I like to use a lighted bobber while fishing from shore during the spring and summer. It's cooler, less crowded and heavily pressured fish are less wary and suspicious. I get the glow sticks in bulk at the beginning of the year, and this year I found a whopper of a deal on eBay.

I buy the 4.5 x 37 mm size because they fit perfectly on the Thill bobbers with a nub on top. The smaller 3 x 25 mm size is good for slipping on your line when ice fishing or vertical jigging in deep water. You get 50 of the larger size for $3.29, or 50 of the smaller size for $2.82! No more paying an arm and a leg for sticks you can barely see because they're so old (when they're not dead already.)

I've used this brand before. They're super bright since they're pretty much fresh from the factory. Jump on these while you can, because they're awesome.
