With the colder temps in, it's time to get ready for next years fishing

Poured these for Canada - hopeful this year I'll be able to go. 2/0 VMC hooks; 1/8 oz round ball. Great for swimming grubs and small swimbaits

These are for just about everything but at the moment, will put them on safety pin style spinners and tip GULP, grubs, or small swimbaits. #1 Matzuo hooks; 1/8 oz round ball

If the VMCs bend out on you, switch to Gamakatsu 114.

Your paint jobs are super slick ! How do you smooth out the sprue scars ? Do the eyes stay attached ?

Hawn - you're good. The 114 is my favorite hook. The VMC's a great hook & more cost effective. I pour with both.

To smooth out the sprue scars, I hit them with a file.

Never had an eye fall out. Not sure who, but one of the old timers on this board showed a few tricks on a YouTube video. Basically dab of super glue and a bodkin to pick up the eye. Then after everything dries, hit it with a thick coat of harder than nails.
