Auto works on cats?

Was slow trollin for 'gills at big bear lake in southern california. Picked up this mud cat on a blue auto! So weird.
Sorry for the bad pix.

Never found a single 'gill. :dodgy:

We fished a ton... no luck. Tried everything the locals said, but just couldn't hook up. Last year we were there and did great with trout...

I use to do good slow trolling Dave Davies spoons with a 12-18" leader and a night crawler.

Some nice bass in there too
