Alewife Herring

Heard from the internet that the Alewife Herring here in Pa. waters are the ticket.Guess everything eats them in the lakes around here.I tied them on 1/8 and 1/4 oz. roundheads with grey and black bucktail.Dang them things looked good in the water with great action.I think they were a little too big for the bluegills that we were on,lol.Had 1 tap,tap hit on one,that was it.

Might be to big for gills, but they should be just right for small mouth... Those look really good!!!

Took this jig for a few casts today.Just to see what it looked like in the water.Too many boats and only threw it from the bank.But Man,it sure looks good in the water.
