I had some time to tie today and some minnow heads already painted so thats what I did, I tied a school and the plus one was a jig I forgot to take a pic. The first 3 are all 1/16oz minnow head jigs, the top one is silver with a black back, white and black bucktail with silver flash make up the tail and the body is done with flathead minnow chenille. The middle jig is painted watermelon red flake and has orange and olive craft fur with green flash for the tail and large olive cactus chenille for the body. The bottom jig is painted white with a black back, soft grizzly hackle in white with silver flash is what makes up the tail and flathead minnow chenille was used for the body. The plus one was sort of an accident, it is a 1/48oz minnow head painted black, I tied in black craft fur and chartreuse fish hair along with green and gold flash for the tail. I then tied in anthracite chenille in for the body and that is where the accident part comes in. As I palmered the chenille forward I got to the point a single wrap would have finished it but I saw a stray hair that I needed to cut and of course I didn't use the rotary feature on my vise to make it easier to see and cut the stray hair, nope, instead I reached underneath the jig with the scissors and cut the chenille and it was a full warp short. I didn't want to waste that piece of chenille so I decided to take a black hackle tip and make a small collar and when it was finished it didn't look to bad so I posted the pic.
