Woo Hoo! Got out for a few hours this afternoon. Ice thickness varied from 8" to 4" with a few inches of snow/slush on top. Only a couple dink gills, some small largemouth bass and a decent sized channel cat. Had no live bait so was tipping kip jigs and spoon droppers with Berkley maggots. It sure felt good to get out. By the forecast, next weekend should be good to go just about anywhere i want. Maybe actually be able to find some crappie or yellow perch at the big fish bowl. Couple pics...........

You mean you catch cats with something other than a 2" bobber and 1/2# of stink bait? Hmmmm ;)

Nice work! I hope to get out next weekend for some farm pond crappie.

Nice fish through a hole. Looks like we'll have safe ice here in a couple days, but I think with wind chills over 30 below that I might stay home where it's warm.
