In search of a new vice

Have been using this cheap model for several years. It works "ok" but needs constant tending at times. I tie jigs with #8 hooks up to 4/0. Any ideas on a quality non-account wrecking vice with strong jaws Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    ultra minnows

The mod is complete on four sizes now. for some reason the walleye guys around here are keeping me busy. What I like about them is they tell me exactly what they want. I don't get the "tie what you think will work for me".

Has anyone modified an ultra minnow mold to place a crane swivel into the jig head? Would it be possible with this mold? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Still catching them

All on home rolled jigs. Fished a different part of the lake that produces fish for me several years ago. Limited on 40 yards of water. Largest fish weighed over 2lbs. Heading back to my big fish hole tomorrow. Caught these two on back to back casts to end the day. Sent from my iPhone...

    Not all wool is equal

I purchased wool from a couple sources. One source that was suggested and a couple I found. One of the sources was fantastic, of course I only ordered a sample. I got tired of what I considered sub par and ordered up some colors. I will only use this roving from now on. Strong, thick, and does...

This will need to be fished ASAP

new chenille from CA I got in the mail last week. I have been looking for one that I can use for clean and dirty water ties. Some R&D on this is coming up next week when I have a few days off of work and school. Seems like every new combo might be that "perfect jig". We shall see

    San Diego bound

Several of each of these plus some all white belly spinners head to the SW corner. Buddy has been catching some pig red ears and making me jealous. I have him almost converted from plastics now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Woolie worries

Craft fur and the wool jigs tangle easily or you have to box them separately. Figured some fun noodle guards would work well and allow me to stuff a box full of jigs Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pink woolies

I had it so tried it. I believe they will work perfectly on the post spawn fish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Spring training.

Water is still hard around here. Weather looks to be breaking in the next couple weeks but the weatherman cannot be trusted. Recent work Used above a heavier jig when dipping or vertical fishing. All black 1/32 was a big producer for me last fall. Kip tail and simple chenille. Some wooly...

    Limit

Black or white no reason why either. 1/32 black rabbit and 1/32 white wool jig. The black caught bigger fish and had a belly spin on it. The white far beat it in numbers. Was crazy with double hook ups several times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Some baby jigs.

Mixed media but mainly bunny ties. Needed to add something other than all blacks to the box. For some reason we always want to try something different even when it is working Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    NW Mo again

Went and played for keeps this time. Fish all over the water column and no rhyme or reason why. One thing is for certain a little black jig catches the nicer fish. I came home and tied up some 1/32 belly spin with black rabbit. Also did some other colors in small sizes. Sent from my iPhone...
