Can't even begin to tell you how many I've made

I went and checked my stash of heads to restock my tackle bag and I had way more done than I remembered!! 107 bags of assorted painted and 30 bags of unpainted. Guess I'm set for a while!!

Like EddieB I have the molds to make both kinds. I've used both fur and plastics when trying for trout, which for me is mostly on a pond and after the rivers got blown out by floods it's really hard to get a blade spinning in ankle deep water.

I used the dyed on some flies but not on jigs yet. But it worked better than ones with Bucktail Hey catching anything is better than getting skunked!!

I tied them myself and they worked great on Trout, Bass and perch and one really big snapping turtle!

I have one orginal left! and don't use it. I have some I tied up with polar bear and it dyes up really well. first is Kingfisher blue and the other orange.

I've seen them with ball and minnow head. This is the last original one that I have and it looks more like a wedge head

The molds as far as I know are all hand made

I've been using Fly Dye from Lure Parts online but sadly just learned that they aren't going to carry it anymore!!! I complained loudly!! I'm picking up a few jars of each of the colors they have left. After that It might be back to the Veniards fly dye even though it costs more.

I use mostly automotive powder paints and I always thin them with clear, and what I have left of Protech I do the same thing.
