hello all first time pouring. i am just a diy guy trying to save money. and was wondering what the best medthod to make sure your lead is clean? i tried pouring sinkers and they came out all wrinkled is it because the lead is dirty? am i not doing it right. thanks for the help

Hello im new to the boards and pretty new to pouring. I just got a do-it mold style 9 jig head kit. It says to use mustad 91715 hooks in a 7/0 size. Are there alternatives to use instead of having to use this particular style? I prefer a round bend withva shortercshank as I use 5" swimbait...
