Thought I would try something a little different for me to tie, maybe the crappies haven"t seen much of this one. I've got to do some more playing with em but so far I think they show Potential?? Their about 1/30th of an once, I plan on fishing em below a bobber.

Never used Kip tail much but ordered some 1/8oz #2 Ultra Minnow heads and the Kip tail seems about the right length for em. Buck tail I was wasting a lot of hair! Hopefully the walleyes will agree? What do you all think??

A couple Walleye {I Hope] Ultra Minnow Bucktails. I think I like craft fur jigs better, they seem easier to tie to me. Anyone else have an opinion??

Trying to tie Rosy Red minnow, 1st attempt. it needs improvement but it's a start

Trying to use yarn instead of craft fur and fox fur. I put em in some water and they had pretty good action. Tulip paint eyes. 1/8oz #2 red sickle walleye jig. Lakes are frozen now so will have to wait till spring, opinions please good or bad. Thanks for looking. Midnight

My Best producing crappie jig thus far this year by far!! Seems to work when nothing else does. Others must have their favorite jig thus far or pleasant surprises, lets see em!

These for me are much harder to tie than I was expecting. Probably me being all thumbs. First two to tie might be last two.

I have a lot of luck with these right after Ice out below a bobber in the back of dark bottom lagoons. The crappies seem to hit these when nothing else is working!

Playing around with some of CA 1/48 oz jigs. This has been a hot color pattern in the early spring, like right after Ice off. Fished below a bobber. Tulip paint eyes. First ties with a true rotary vice Santa brought me. Man I must have been good last year!!

Got my supply of CA new jig heads and read on here somewhere about using tulip paint for eyes. It seems to work pretty slick! At least the snow ended!

Its snowing outside again, winter does not want to go away. The only good thing is most of the lakes finally opened up but we have a lot of winter kill. I like using red thread, I hope it represents gills? I haven't found a way to make the pictures smaller yet!
