    060813 IL Water is MUDDY!

    Back to the foam froggie for gill season

    Rain and more rain in IL currently. Will be time real soon for the gills. I am using this style with a casting bobber about 4ft in front of the foam froggie (no lead wrap bellies on this style). You can go crazy on styles and they do work.

    This looks pretty good. Getting quicker at making them now. Less wool and more fabric. In the water the pulse great when you give the rod a quick snap.

    1/8oz new bunnies

    Ok......not big into 1/8oz but a buddy is twisting my arm for 1/8oz! This weekend in Central IL we have seen 4" of rain which means plenty of time to tie jigs! 1/8 oz round ball with #2 straight hooks.

    Playing around with UV gummie! Also little purple bucktail is a new UV blend. Did a wrap back around with small crystal and placed Hyrdo-Goo over the top.

    Stump's plier's trick with my modified jig head

    Gadwall flank with wool under. Cannot really see the tinsel used. Using stump's pliers technique now has my tapered 1/16oz mold with eyes! Thanks Stump!

    New Material from JoAnn with Red's insight

    Working off Red's jigs have been using this material in silver. Went today looking for gold....no gold but three new colors. This material is bought in 2" strips 4' long for $.28. A lot of material for less than one dollar and they flow nice in the water with great reflection. Everyone...
