I know everybody does things differently so I'm curious. How do you tie or attach your jigs to the main line? Do you use either Duo Lock Snaps or Swivel Snaps? Do you use a loop knot? Or do you tie the line to the jig using that old trusty clinch knot that most everybody's daddy or momma taught...

No crappie yet but I did snag a few small bass this evening at the city pond. I was slip floatin using one of my satin shiners. The very first one was literally snagged. Thought he was a lot bigger till I got him to the top and saw I hooked it on the belly.

Added a blood spot to throat and head on these. Also colored a little bit of the wool with marker.

I think these will work good but Im not completely sold on the maribou. Might tie some up without it and just taper the thread down to the swivel a little more.

Red/Chartreuse has always been a great combo. The bodies on the ones to the right didn't turn out like I wanted but the fish ain't gonna care.

Black Satin/Shad Grey Wool

Found some Sulkys Multicolor Metallic thread. This stuff is pretty cool and very durable. Used it to make this thread body minnow. It is pretty stiff so I used a little for flash in the tail as well.

Woke up way early this morning and couldn't go back to sleep so I enjoyed a couple cups of coffee and did a little tying. Added a few of these to the arsenal.

I think I'm going to get the chance to pour some 1/8th jigs this weekend. This will be my first time. I do have one question. Should the mold be heated up before the first pour? I was thinking that someone had told me that once but not sure. Any advice is welcomed.
