    Shannon twin spin

Found a few older baits that were my dad's that somehow survived my trips to his tackle box when I was a child. I "borrowed" and lost a few back in the day. I decided to retie two baits that were really rough, the twin spin and a Snagless Sally. I finished the twin spin and have the Sally...

    Prehistoric fish

I'm 58 years old and this is a first for me. Even rarer since I caught it on a jig and caught it at a lake that only fills when the rivers flood. I caught it on a 1/32 shad dart opposum jig with a #4 Owner hook and 2lb. test fluorocarbon line. I thought I had a big channel cat at first. It was...

    Recent ties

I haven't posted any ties for awhile but have been tying a variety of jigs lately. Smaller bucktails have been producing good numbers of bass this spring, nothing very big.  Going to show a variety pack.

    Articulated Herring Underspins Part 2

A few more articulated baits I made recently, these with Gami B10S #4 stinger hooks on the rear. got to try them a couple weeks ago and not only look good in the water but fooled a rainbow trout around 4lbs. Can't tell if the stinger made a difference because it got stuck with both hooks. Can't...

    Articulated Herring Underspins

One of the few things I haven't done with the Herring mold so made some this morning. Expensive and time consuming to tie but can't wait to get one wet and see how they look in the water. Used a Gami B10S #2 for the stingers on them. First ones are 1/8 oz with 2/0 owner and are about 4.5 inches...

    HERRING UNDERSPIN BUNNY'S

I had shoulder surgery a few weeks ago and I'm just starting to tie again. Had bunny spins on the brain so this was what I came up with. These are 1/4 oz. with 4/0 Gamakatsu 604 jig hooks.Lengths are 4-4.5 inches in length.

    Some more Herring Underspins

I made these this morning, 1/8 OZ WITH #1 sickles or Owner's. Hard to get mallard flank big enough for #1's and had to go through a couple large bags to get these. If anyone is interested in trading me for some bigger feathers I'm sure we can work out a trade. Since the mold came out I've caught...

    Herring Underspins

Thought I'd show a few that I've made so far. Really like these and have actually made a couple trips where that's all I threw. Arctic fox tails with twisted chenille baitfish bodies have been working pretty well. Caught six different species so far including three walleye from a river that I...

    Clowns & Chickens

My version of the clown and Electric Chicken patterns with the new Herring mold. Baits are 1/8 and 1/4 oz. using 3/0 and 4/0 Mustad ultra point jig hooks. The rubber tail colors come closer in colors than any rabbit I have. Swivels are pricey and cost more than everything else combined so need...

    More blade baits

These are 1/16 on a #2 sickle hook. Tails and chenilles were dyed by me using the coffee cup method except the blue/silver chenille that I got from a member here.. Most of the tails are arctic fox which takes dyes very well. Swivels were tied in at the head.

    2016 Herring mold

Mine came in yesterday and poured up a bunch. Mold calls for Gamakatsu 604 jig hooks and poured some of those along with some Mustad 32746 and 32729 which is a 60 degree hook that actually fit. The ties are 1/4 oz with a 4/0 Gama 604, blades are #3 willows. Probably catch a bass or two with...

    A couple buzzbaits

I'm making some of these now since I modified my crappie spinner mold to take the smaller buzz bait forms. I even powder painted my own blades on these. The mold is listed at 1/8 but finished weights on these are a little under 1/4 oz.

    Some Buzzbaits

While pouring some 1/8 spinnerbaits I found a 1/8 buzzbait and an idea came to me that with a couple modifications I could use the 1/8 spinnerbait slot to make some buzz baits. I used a diamond file to make the modification since I misplaced my two drills and it pours perfectly with no flashing...

    1/8 oz Bunny Spinnerbaits

I used a 1/0 EC Aberdeen hook for these, going to get a few wet tomorrow, plan on doing some river fishing. Rivers are finally down and shoulder feels a little better. Been making a bunch of these lately and have caught a few bass on the 1/16 but haven't gotten a 1/8 wet yet.

    Jig Gator

I hadn't worked with resin lately but an idea popped into my head and this is what I came up with. It probably has close to 100 jigs in it. It weighs about 6.5 oz's. and is a little over 6 inches long. Might have to make a couple more for fun since I have plenty of jigs.

    More Craft Hair spinnerbaits

Starting to get addicted to tying these 1/8oz. crappie spinners. Just ordered 200 more forms plus hooks. Poured 75 and finished about 60 so far.

    Wobble jigs

These are 1/8 oz. wobble head jigs with a #1 37188 Mustad wide gap jig hook. Tied them using cross cut rabbit strips and silicone rubber. Another toy I recently acquired. I like the wide base these have and should make the tail dance.

    Crappie spinner mold

Just got it this afternoon and poured up 50 for starters. Poured some using a #1 Aberdeen sickle and since I don't recall seeing a craft hair spinner before decided to do a couple of those in 1/16 and 1/8 and then added a Boolie spinner for good measure. Hope to get these wet soon. Shoulder...

    More Craft Hair Jigs

1/12 walleye heads with a 1/0 Gami 114 jig hook and 1/12 custom minnows on a #2 sickle hook. I used glass crystals for the eyes. They reflect light very well, could see red on my finger nails as I was tying these. These are about 3 inches long. Two in the first picture have rattles in them. Can...

    Realistic Craws

I tied a few of these up last night and this morning. Hook sizes are 1/0 to a #2 on 1/16 football heads. I doctored the realistic craw bodies using permanent markers. Trickiest part was positioning the body after poking holes in the head and tail section. After tying off I used clear nail polish...
