Had the itch after yesters tickle. Went back early and fished the duck jig til losing it, went to black n chrt t-tail for a bit. Fish ate in the mixing water at the creek mouth 8-12' deep mostly. Many small'ns, wish we wldve got 4' more feet bf it started dropping to move in some fatter fish...

Buddy gave me some wood duck flank feathers so I threw together a quick, yet poor, imitation of JJ1's flash duck jigs. Tried it for an hour this eve. May tie some more.

Very windy day so I took Pistol's advice, grabbed sum shiners , slip corks and hunkered down over a hole. Kept some good size fish for eats.

Wanted to try to with just clear powder and while it DID work and the eyes are never coming off, the initial heating to apply the clear after the first cure, distorted oblong eyes into straight slanted eyes. The second cure locked em in forever though and didn't change their appearance any...
