Ran out of bait today...

Ran into a pack of Coyotes. Three spooked but the alpha (far right) just sauntered off. These guys are residing on a closed down golf course.

Get my stitches out tomorrow - couldn't wait - had to fish. Rained a bunch yesterday and a little today. Fun fishing in the rain - as long as it don't get cold. Fish were eating up chubs and the bellyspinners tipped with crickets. Wide open BG bite and nobody fishing for them - outstanding indeed.

Probably best 3 hours fishing (catching) in a long time..... Picture heavy

Really hate skiers and the ski boats - bunch of friggin idiots. Left a wide open bite before I popped a vessel!

Have a lot of back issues of Fly Tyer magazines going back to the original late 70s - mid 80s, transition, and present 90s to mid 2000s. Magazines are crammed full of fly patterns, tying info, and photos. The fly tying tip section is awesome - worth the price of the magazine. Lots of tying info...

Very nicely made SS vise, Base is solid copper.

Vise is very similar to a Martin vise. Not sure of the manufacturer for this vise.

From a collection from Santa Rosa. Not sure if it was made with fly tying in mind.

I think this might be an early Fran Betters - not sure. Hope somebody can comment on this one... The base is not made for this vise. The bottom of the stem is threaded.

Very nice vintage/antique Noll No.7 vise. Underwent a light clean, some surface rust still. Great example.
