    Nice day on the water

3 days. Actually river fishing changes daily That's been my deal killer I'm still a big bait big fish person. Sometimes the smaller ones work when it's tough fish'n, but the little ones seem to beat the big ones to the bait. For me - sink weight.

    Nice day on the water

River is low. On this stretch, deepest hole is probably 6' but fish were aggressively chasing minnow baits. I was throwing a 4.5" Winco fluke-like bait he calls a darter - which I asked for him to shoot me a special order with extra salt. Glad I did because he sold his biz and is up fishing...

    Nice day on the water

Did a 6 mile kayak float last weekend. Started out hot and stayed that way the whole day. Morning started out hot and the day got hotter Started out hot when my buddy make his first cast and the rod bent in half. Fish hit his fluke like a freight train but sadly heartbreak. This wasn't...

Whiskas on a fish don't look so bad....

I remember sitting around a campfire at a RS rodeo and Charlie Case was playing with a BIC lighter and Jacks worms. He glued two together and came up with his version of the wacky worm, then started marketing them with his normal products. They were a hit to the anglers.

    Finally allowed back into Canada

Thx. Some of the smaller lakes had better bites, but the bigger lakes have bigger fish so are more attractive to me

    Powder paint coverage issue

I use an alcohol bunker burner to head and the finest screen I can find to tap the paint onto the jig. Made a paint tapper from a tea ball infuser idealisk-tea-infuser-stainless-steel__1084937_pe859946_s5.jpg

    Finally allowed back into Canada

I did not see one crawfish Hawn - but saw millions of minnows and some madtom-looking fish. They were not chasing anything at all at the water levels I was fishing. Got the pikes on a SWM jig I poured with a swim-bait. We found the smallies on rocky shoreline LOL. Walleye were reported to be...

    Finally allowed back into Canada

Day after fishing on the Potomac, a buddy and I jumped into his van and drove 630 miles north the a hotel in Ontario. There we picked up supplies, had a nice dinner, then had our last night in a hotel. We woke early, had breakfast and drove another 230 miles to our destination. There we...
