Lets start a thread of crazy off the wall combos that really catch fish! Ones you've had first hand experience catching fish with. Type of jig doesn't matter.

I had a friend that asked for a combo I had never really made before. So I made him a few. Wasn't long and I was making more. He only used them in the summer and never would get any other color from me. I knew he fished the same places I do so FINALLY I made some for me. I was blown away when I tried them. Temp was well over 100 and I while I only caught 10 crappie. NINE were on this combo... Milk chocolate body with a flo blue tail!

I've caught a lot of fish on pink head, black body, blue tail. Another "strange" one is a black/chartreuse/ orange head, dark duck flank body, with a bright pink hackle throat.

Our best crappie & panfish combo this year with Red's woolies was an orange wool collar with blue satin winging over top. But this was more standard than crazy. What was CRAZY tho was our use of the same style jig in saltwater recently, but with a very unusual, nicely colored, red TIPPING, called "Fishbites"(check them on their webpage or Facebook). This stuff looked like strips of bubble gum, and cut in 1/4" squares drove the salty panfish nuts! Brought some home and tried it on rainbow trout this weekend and they, too, LOVED the stuff!
