Just added a video of a grub I tied using a black octopus hook size 4. When I seen the hooks I thought they would make a great fly tying hook and they did work for flies. Tied this fly to work for a grub. We have a lot of grubs, so now I have a good fly to try. Hope you enjoy the video.

Very nice looking fly and great explanation on the video. That would do well with crappie on one of the lakes i fish.... and be killer on smallmouth in the river.

I plan on going trout fishing next week but not sure if I can get anything on the video camera but will try. Going to scout some rivers and mountain creeks I haven't fished in many years and I plan to take an friend with me that has never fished for trout. Bill is in his 70's so I hope to find some fish close to the roads so we don't have to go far into the creeks plus I will be teaching him about fly rod fishing. Should be a fun trip.
