Just a few more combinations ranging in size from 1/24 on a #4 red sickle to a 1/48 chub on a #8 sickle. On these I subbed one of my new favorite materials,Palmer chenille which I wrap 2-3 times around the collar. Another tie that I've been getting great results with, especially the chub with the 3mm eyes. Bass, crappie, bluegill, trout and yellow bass so far. I have limited numbers of the darts so I started playing with some other heads. I hope you like em.

Defintely like the looks of the palmer chenille, looks like it adds subtle flash with how much you are tying in. Nice ducks.

With all the duck u got going on, do you hunt?
I'm amazed at everyone's paint jobs here!
The dart....or chub(?) heads, i have no idea.... in the 3rd pic are off the chart.
Thx for some ideas and enjoy the fish caught off 'em.

I havn't hunted in over 30 years. I had to choose between hunting and fishing because there wasn't time to do both. I buy and dye most of my feathers, have had a few sent to me that I traded for jigs. As many ducks as I tie I wish I could get some other sources. If anyone has a big supply I'd work out a trade of some kind for sure. I'm interested in mallard, teal, gadwall and wood duck flank feathers. The third picture are 1/48 chubs on a #8 sickle.

Well Jungle ordinarily I would be able to hook you up with the mallards, gadwall and the woodies, BUT we had a levee blow out and drained our 70 acre rice field. Its about a 15' levee so we wont be fixing it this year. Did I mention i hate beavers!

Thanks Stump. RD,does that mean no duck hunting this year. I hate beavers, too. Especially when fishing at night and they tail slap the water from about 10 foot away.
