These are tied using a new roving I found. Both are tied on a 1/16 head w/underspinner. Not sure who sent them to me but I really like the heads. I mixed fl. orange four part with red two part for the head color. The necks are black thread coated with UV cure. Tail material is Red Firestar Flash Roving and Green Firestar Flash Roving. Used red satin for the side flash on both.
Tied 1/2 dozen of each colors and hope to try them out next week.

Nice looking spinners, really like that glossy black uv finish. Orange's and green combos are crappie killers. I think you got those heads from me in the last swap.

Thanks guys. This roving came in a rope of maybe 1'' round. Want to see how the thinner tails work out. Jim the spinners are nice. I may have heated them to long as all the details in the head were covered.

Redear, the fish is already in Florida at a taxidermist. Going to have a replica made and the guy is the beat I have seen on painting. I sent him every pic I had of the fish and after the fish was frozen and boxed at the UPS drop off center it weighed 15 pounds :) I looked around for someone new as the taxidermy's I have used local I was not impressed with their paint work and this one I want right, may never catch another one this size as it took over 40 years of fishing to catch this one..

Doug, I am having it placed on a piece of driftwood. I had a friend that was fishing close to me when I caught the fish and he came in close and took a pic, then he went and had a zoomed in pic made. I was surprised when he came by Tuesday and dropped them off to me, I didn't know he was doing that. Going the have the zoomed in copy that is an 8x10 framed and matted so I can hang the pic near the mount. Here are the pics he took.

Nice fish and jig... Pretty sure the jig is a chub spinner from Ron Don.... But I could be wrong.

Thanks guys. I'm liking the wool jigs but the wool doesn't like me....I have to hit the shower as soon as I finish tying or the wool eats me up!! Don't guess I need to order any wool suits..:)
