Red and Whites

I have always had great luck chasing crappies with small red/white soft plastic tubes. I think some home brewed red and whites should work just as well. This is also my first experience with powder paint and it worked out great! All are pro tec red powder paint cured at ~325 degrees for about 20 min.

Your bottom jig is just about 2/3 of a classic fly pattern for smallmouth bass. The pattern is called Lefty's Red & White Hackle Fly. Wrap some white hackle behind the jig head and you'll have a near 'nuff jig version. Add the grizzly hackles and your jig will be just as cool as the fly presented in the article.

Those are a really nice set of jigs - you have several different bases covered with shape and action - Red/White crappie tubes have made a few memorable days in my past.

I like all three of those and you can't go wrong with a red/white jig.

Really like that top jig. I don't use that color enough. You did a good job on that one. A good study on Red and White.
