Both of these jigs were tied on a 1/32 jig and the red paint does have clear gloss added, I add clear to all my base paints. Used these in stained water.

This is the color combo that worked best,

Head - Red w/ 3D eyes
Body - chart thread
Tail - white wool with hot pink, green satin threads

I add the clear to my powder paint, not after I paint them . Gives the paint more of a shine. If I use eyes I coat the whole head and thread with Sally Henson.

Great job StumpHunter, excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!! I too add clear to my base paint, not only does it stretch the paint out but it makes the color pop!! I had a few guys over asking how I got so much depth in to my green pumpkin, of course I never told!!

I assume you are adding clear powder paint to your colored powder paint. Would you share the ratio you are using? Thanks, Pop

Pop has a good question....I have two fluid beds side by side. One for color then quick dip in clear coat powder and on the drying rack.

Very cool tyes. I'm guilty of mixing clear with other colors. Some paint I get is hard to work with, adding some clear seems too help. I like to use Super High Gloss from CC and the clear from PT is good (not on the cheap side) to use also.

I use the vinyl paints most the time, and adding the clear gloss vinyl to any color also makes for a better result with these paints.

The only time I have any trouble is with chartreuse, just coat and don't worry as it will be alright. Also, all my heads are cured before coating with SH.
