So after getting those jigs painted the other day, I was able to tie up a few of my tried and true(this jig has caught a lot of steelhead this year for me) The chenille on it is the chenille I was so desperate to find when the local tackle store I buy it at, went out of bussiness before I could stock up real good. Great to know that Barlows and a few other places stock it.Now I just need to sit down and tie some more of my other colors I like.
Jig is 1/8 oz with size 1 hook
I should come up with a name for it, as it is my most successful steelhead jig! So what do you think?

Some fine quality work - nice bright colors.

Name needs a candy 'hook' to it because they look like they could have just come out of plastic wrap and be loaded with sugar..... you could probably catch my son with those if you told him they were a new flavor of Airhead's taffy.

Great jigs! Maybe diabetes jigs (sugar sweet but too much is bad for steelheads!)

"bad for steelheads" your right everytime they see them it seems to lead to their death! That jig has caught more steelhead at the river that I fish then any other jig or lure or eggs. That jig has caught the biggest steelhead this year for the river I fish, along with the most. The majority of the people fishing have yet to get a steelhead as it has been a very bad year. I'm at number 25. Since I came up with this jig I have been getting them every trip. My fishing budy started using them and now he is catching fish. For some reason that jig has worked awesome and I am curious to see if it is just as effective next year. Here is a pic of that largest steelhead, I have posted it here before but will again...I am rather proud of it. Not a common fish!

Great jig. Would like to see some of your other steelhead jigs. Is that orange powder paint or is it a special mix? Im just starting to fish steelhead off the Michigan City pier in lake michigan.
