Here's a variation of Jigger John's propeller jig design.
1/4 oz. HeVhed, 3.5mm red plastic bead glued to head & loose 3mm metal bead stoppers, #1 prop, zonker + Flashabou tie, #2 long shank hook for more tying space.
Not field tested yet - thought you might enjoy a look outside the box.

#2 long shank Sea Armor heavy wire 90* Sickle. Matzuo says they're no longer available, got some from the eBay seller I posted months ago who was clearing discontinued Matzuo hooks.

That long shank sickle is certainly giving more tying room for the prop jigs! Leads to more experimentation, too -for freshwater with Hawn's 1/16 and 1/8 oz roundheads (Size 2 longshank sickle) I've found a new (to me) shaft spinning blade called the "Smile blade" from Mack's Lures that offers really cool flash colors and a unique vibration(tho the original small brass propeller is still hard to beat and has yielded LOTS of about 20 differant species!). Also I've been using this shank length to stack a bit of antelope hair (thanks ML !) on top to give sort of a muddler minnow effect. And I found when taking big channel cats on this jig that the extra hook length allows easier removal (tho the sharp points really dig into a cat's lips!) for quick release! Keith's beautiful new ties with the heVhed should be absolute dynamite on inshore saltwater species,to add to the catch list total !!
