After seeing some recent pics of sili skirt tail jigs, it jogged my memory that i had painted some heads up that i planned to tie as large tube style jigs. Decided to finish a few of them off. These were tied with lake smallmouth in mind.... 3 seperate lakes that are all deep/clear water so decided to play with color on them. All on 1/4oz HeVee heads with #2 EC410 hooks.

Thanks all. Can't wait to get them wet. Have been using some lighter weight versions of these in the river and been doing well, can't wait to see how they compare in still water fishing.

Forgot to mention.......... i spent some xtra time (and placement) on the sili legs to give them a tapered cut so they are fuller near the body and thin out towards the tail. I know some people actually thin out some of the legs on traditional tube jigs to get more flow and action. If you tie your own, just keeping a few odd ball legs longer than the rest adds alot of kick action even when the jig is just moving slowly. ;)
