Been awhile since I had the chance to play around a little with some different looking jigs. These are from the lab today. The last one is tied using some stuffing from one of the dogs toy that didn't make it.... :beat-up:

Nice jigs!!! The stuffing is pretty much the same as some of the synthetic tying materials on the market today. Nice and spikey!!! the fish should like it fine!

Thanks Doug. You should have seen me going around putting the stuffing in a bag.:) Used a loop to dub the body and it was easy to work with. Now I'm watching for holes in his other toys LOL..

A loop is the best way to put alot of the different dubbings on!!!!

and yeah Zac it can be a major PITA, especially when it slips out of your fingers!!!LOL

Yes I agree it can be a pain, one little slip and you can start over making the body LOL.

Eeeeexactly! I use Larva Lace body material, too.... pretty much the same thing, but twice as stretchy. It looks so good though, so it is worth it.

Those make excellent 'knock-offs' for traditional tube style plastic baits...... better yet since we can customize colors to our liking. Think i like the looks of the dubbed body better than the grub look created by the rib/lace material. Wonder which the fish will prefer.....

Those are Waaaay cool. Something diff all together for me and inspirational
Might venture into that dubbing one day…
I like the sounds of that lace. Does it come in diff colors and does it break easy? Would think that'd be fun to weave.
Nice work Ronnie.

Lost Pole, look up v-rib or d-rib.... or larva lace body material.

If you start playing with it, here is a tip. Make the underbody as smooth as possible. ANY little bumps will show up!

AF, I do like the dubbing best but never know about the fish. First time using the ribbing on a jig and like QK said the under body has to be as smooth as you can get it. The first pic I thought that jig was good until I turned it over and looked at the pic. The second one came out a lot better :)

I use Stretch Magic for the v-rib. You will find it in the bead section at craft stores. Try the 1mm/.039 in.
