Palmered snow white mink zonker courtesy of our resident fur maven in Idaho tied out fluffy and round hence the name. Appropriate since the Boolie creator's new favorite sport is women's beach volleyball. 1/4 tin HeVhed, oversize #2 brass prop, #2 UP 2x hook, gold Flashabou undertie trailer, 3.5 plastic bead, orange Big Fly thread.

Have no idea if short fluffy ties work in fresh water for what species and would be interested in your experience. Won't get to try it till mid-late September.

Looks good.... and fun to say! :p That tail should make a nice stream-lined puff in motion under water.

That is a cool tie HJ. :t-up: I'd fish that for bass, walleye, sauger, and steelhead.

It's certainly a great-looking weight-forward spinner!

With a stop,go,retrieve the little short puffs of fur have been doing very well for me.The jigs that I were using were palmered cross cut rabbit, maybe a 1/16" behind the hook.Seems like when I stopped,it got hammered.

Glad to hear walleye mentioned since this jig was created for Glendo Res in WY which is managed primarily for that species. Guess I can go all out and stock up with volleybools.

Aesthetic color attraction is built into the human psyche I think, not sure about fish. JiggerJohn prefers unpainted, especially shiny tin, so following his lead most of my ties have been on bare metal heads, to my satisfaction. Some JC members were kind enuf to trade for their paint jobs, so this year I'll be able to fish painted & compare with bare metal.

Haven't heard from JJ2 - might be too bizzy watching the contortions of his fav athletes.

Very nice looking puffballs -and LOVE that name! Matter of fact, women's volleyball is on TV right now,but I haven't responded because we just got home from a quickee weekend trip to Lake Erie -didn't get quite as many differant species on the SFBlend Boolie this time (tho was close!) but got into amazing concentrations of nice sized crappies (in August!) and big sheepshead and white perch concentrations on what I call a Boolcrab!! Once again, your unpainted, shiny heads and redfish blend (plus!).Your new white VollyBool is gonna score a whole bunch of walleyes (and sea fish when I get to the Outer Banks in late Oct!).
