I decided to put crappiejgr's stuff to use.All tied on the Peak Vise that I got from him.Love the vise.He had some synthetic stuff in the box also,Figured that I'de tye a couple up for the snapper blues that everyone is catching the big fluke on next month when I get to New Jersey. These are trout size about 7" fish with some major teeth. These are all 1/8 oz. with the synthetic, maybe they will last past one fish.

What is the tail material? Looks like it has some nice shine to it. I have worked with a few different synthetic materials now and have yet to find one (other than craft fur) that i like dealing with.

Toothy critters might tear up the chenille too...... maybe putting a counter wrap of thin gauge wire over the chenille would help keep it together for a little longer.

Rather than add a wire I use the wire core pipe cleaner types of chenille . You can get them in variagated colors just like our tying materials . Works really good on teasers . Just be sure you spray it when not in use with pam or they will rust through the color .

Salty nice jigs and can't wait to see some of them torn up!!!!!!!! Fly Tyers Dungeon has some really nice materials but he is a bit slow on delivery time - he runs it from his house and works a full time job.
