The spinnerbaits are 1/12 oz after completion.I've been painting some blades to try and match the body so let me know what you think of the blades. Plain or painted, what is your preference? Also, some new chub spins, in 1/16 and 1/8.

Love them all! The painted blades look great. Even the silver vein looks good on the chubs blade. The second spinnerbait is my favorite.

I'm afraid to throw the prop baits, only got five. I tested them in the pool and they looked great. If I get desperate I might risk a couple. I need to get some more. I wonder how the silver vein got in there. I've been experimenting with the painted blades, some colors turn out better than others.

Thanks OKSTATE,couldn't have done it without RonDon. He's the supplier of the important stuff. The forms, heads and hooks are killer. I add a little paint, eyes, rubber and blades. Got a few spinnerbaits doing a number on those bass, even caught a walleye on one.

JJ,

All are very nice-looking baits. In particular, I like the jig spinners with the propellers. The design is well thought out. The eyelet position at (or very near) 90 degrees from the plane of the jig body could help minimize line twist.

You ask about blade preference. Mine will always be hammered nickel. Add three equally-spaced red dots in a row to this blade and it then becomes a part of fishing nirvana. ;)

Excellent tyes – very hot baits.

You might consider butt rings for the spinners. Haven’t lost a blade yet and we been catching a lot using them.

The prop baits are a new design by CAT. Pup,the red dots go across or down ? Should be easy to do on the hammered blades.
JJ,

The red dots would go across the length of the blade. Heck, I'd fish a plain old hammered-nickel blade in a pinch. ;)

The red dots are, perhaps, a silly superstition with me. One that began when I started fishing spoons seriously several years ago. :)
