I reworked a few shaky blade baits and replaced the stiff, thick split rings with a smaller size which will give them better movement. The bodies are c-cut bunny and palmer chenille, tails are hackle, flash and rubber combination. These weigh 1/4 oz. At the other end is a 1/64 chub with a #10 sickle tied hardbody style with a rabbit, midge flash and neon uni floss tail, and Holographic SH finish. I have a trip later this week that will feature trout fishing two rivers, smallies in another river and bass and crappie fishing some ponds over three days. Maybe these will fool a fish or two. If not, I have a few other things to try.View attachment 9View attachment 1View attachment 2View attachment 3

Fm, the split rings are rated over 20 lbs and since I never go higher than 12 even on my bass gear the line should break before the swivel goes. Thanks everyone. I hope to have some pictures in the success column Friday night when I get back. With so many fishing opportunities of varying styles on this trip I'm having a hard time deciding what rods and tackle I need to take. Probably take four + a fly rod. I havn't fished a trout stream in almost two years so it will feel new for a bit.

Nice ties Jim.

Guys in my area fish chatterbaits in early spring. Those are nifty rabbit-n-hackle ties. Good stuff. :icon14:

These are chatterbait knock offs. Barlow's sells the heads and blade decals and used to sell the blades but I can't find them in their catalog now. The hooks are a 60 bend and heads resemble a banana, kinda. If anyone knows where to get these blades let me know. I want to try some on different style heads. I'm looking for some smaller blades like this as well, I know they have smaller 1/8 versions. I bought one and caught a lot of bass on it before losing it.

There's an ebay store that has something like that - Eaker Shakers??? I'll have to find the store name when I get home from work - the bags they had were made by Worth.
