I've gotten really bored that last couple of days trying not to tie anymore jigs for awhile. The heck with that stupid idea. Here's a little shad type.It is 5/8 oz. I poured a couple dozen of these with the Gammie 604's.This is a 4/0 hook.Looks to me like a 2/0 at the most. But Sharp,My Lord.Just trying to get them out of the bag is a very painfull experience.I thought that the red thread might look like it is hurt and bleeding or something enticeing like that..Made 4 of them, just incase it is a winner. That 5/32 eye does'nt do it justice, going to go with the 5mm next time around.

Brent you kept me busy with that post for an hour.I painted A head, glued some eyes on it,found the thread.Went looking for the rabbit that I bought a couple months ago,had to straighten out my crap drawer totally full of who knows what.Found the zonker strips at the very bottom,of course. Then saw that they were too short for this 2" jighead, lol.Bucktail Time, again.

Hey Bruce I like red thread too! Definately bleeding gills sorta look.
Know what you mean about wascally wabbit being short for salty heads. This one is in arctic fox, which I use when rabbit's too short and bucktail is just a bit stiff for smaller salt heads (at least the very average quality bucktail we seem to have in tackle stores here).
This one is a 1/8th on an ultraminnow head from the US of A. Arctic fox has awesome movement and lighter colours gets a cool see-thru look when in water and tied sparse.

That's an awesome jig. There are'nt many times where I fish that I can use a head smaller then 3/8 oz. even at that size the artic fox even gets a little short
