These are some of the assorted bunny jigs that I've been tying the last month,1/8 oz. pillheads and footballs. Some have bunny tails and others have silicone rubber tails. My personal favorite is the bullfrog imitation. There are a lot of designated trophy trout and smallmouth areas here where live bait and soft plastics are illegal to use so these are legal alternatives. This fall I caught more crappie than bass using these even though most have 2/0 hooks in them. Some crappie actually were swallowing these.

Excellent jigs! The bunny body/skirt tails might have some really cool contrasting action. The eyes on those pill heads really make them standout.

The red/black vein head... :icon14: :jig: It will make a boring jig to our eyes but you have to try one with that head that is simply black with red flash. No Joke - hands down best producing smallmouth color in my entire tackle box.

Thanks everyone. AF, I ordered five whole rabbit skins last week and can't wait for them to get here. Black crosscut and zonker skin, white crosscut and zonker and a hot pink crosscut is what I ordered along with some smaller packs. When I got finished with the order there wasn't one penny left in my paypal account. As soon as it gets here I'll make some black jigs, already have a bunch of heads painted. If I get too bored I'll add some medium palmer chenille in with the crosscuts.

With the 1/8 pillhead I can pour it the regular way or on the hook shank and slide it into position. I think the head is better balanced and doesn't require as much materials. The rabbit habit is getting expensive.
