The first one is a 1/16 orange illusion head and blade wrapped with Canadian pine squirrel crawdad strips.Second photo are blades painted with 3-5 coats of nail polish and the last two or more tailgunners, one has a nail polish head featuring nail polish colors like Hi-DEF O4,SH Crackle overcoat with a clearcoat. Blades were done the same way. I dipped into my youngest daughter's nail polish stash while she wasn't looking. Turns out this stuff runs $7 a bottle or more. I won't be buying any, just have to use her's.

That pine squirrel wrap is exactly how I would make a tail spin, which might be real soon. Thanks for the inspiration. I've never used spinner blades, is that the smallest size available?

Great-looking ties Jim.

Though I've powder painted a lot lately, I still like the finish of a good nail polish and epoxy jig head.

FM, that is the new powder at $8 a pop. I tried the silver vein with my candy color pp's and it wasn't bad,not quite the same. The illusions use a higher temp.I've also tried candy colors like yellow with the silver illusion base and it turned out ok. Hawn,I bought a Canadian pine squirrel half skin at Feathercraft for $7.95 and have been wearing it out, really like it. The Indiana blades are a #1.They make a #0 and #00 so they have smaller sizes. If you want to try a few of these I'd be happy to send the components. I have plenty of smaller blades. Jig Man,I probably do pay for it since I take her to work and back and she never has gas money.I think she would rather go to the dentist than give dad a nickle.

Thanks Rad. ccj, those are black nickle cranes that I picked up.However, I have used the roller swivels and like them better than the cranes. I'm out right now until I get more. They do cost more than the regular cranes. I'm looking to see what the price is on a 1000 count. I've been spending a lot lately on materials and need to slow down, but the ideas keep rolling around in my head and won't let me sleep until I spend more money. Next item up is 3-4 cross cut rabbit skins, can't make up my mind on the colors.
