These were designed with smallmouth in mind. First are bunnie and hackle buggers, second one is a black bunny which I twisted in some medium palmer chenille to add flash,it might be hard to see in the picture. Third picture is an assortment and the last one I'm trying to get a shot of the head with the new illusion paints I've been working with. Jigs are 1/16 with a 1/0 black nickle and 1/8 with a 2/0 black nickle. I borrowed a friends shaky head mold and I can get up to a 4/0 on a 1/16,although I don't know why. Probably going to buy this mold or a new one.

Smallmouth bass candy. Great ties.

In my opinion, walleye and sauger may have an interest in those too.

Like the bunny/palmer chenille - that should look pretty cool in the water!

Shaky head...... i think they use those over-sized hooks for using plastic worms, you can 'hide' the hook back into the body of the worm - texas rig style. You should be able to pour 60deg. bend hooks and even flat-eye hooks with those too, unless i am thinking of the wrong style head/mold.

Matt,it's a secret color. Just kidding. It's a silver vein basecoat. After the head cools I reheat the head and dip it in candy yellow or candy green. It's one of those two colors. I'd have to paint more to know for sure. I just bought four crosscut cut rabbit skins to help with the smallie jig affliction. One skin equals 48 strips so I have almost 200 strips coming.

Ron Don, I fished the tournament April 30th.Weighed one keeper and didn't place in the money. One more fish would have got me there as only 45 out of 186 boats weighed fish in. Weather was cold,30mph + winds and they lake came up 4 ft in the couple days prior to the tourney. I caught three big crappie in the 13-14 inch class on my shaky head/flirt worm combo. It figures.
