Heather, wait until you tie on a #22 to #28 size hook... can you say BIFOCALS!! LOL! Nice ties... your PT's look EXCELLENT! A nice perfect rib! A sparse wrap of guniea hackle in front of the peacock hurl will give it some good "wiggle" action.

Ghost fly: If you palmer the hurl on the thorax (instead of using it as a wing topping) and still use the mallard flank over the sides of the shank of the hook you will have a pretty good Hornberg fly as well... you just have to add a few wraps of hackle in front of the mallard flank (just helping you add to your tying list without you having to buy more materials) Where I live the bass and black crappie knock the crap out of a Hornberg. No need to use the jungle cock for the eyes... that stuff is too expensive and the fish don't care. Here's a pic:

Your scuds need a backing on top. Use a piece of plastic ziploc baggie to mimic the shellback (or you can spend the $$ for scud shellback, but ziplocs are cheap and one baggie will last you 12 dozen flies) and then just rib over the baggie like how you did on the PT's. I'm not bashing your flies... please don't take it the wrong way. I'm just offering a suggestion on how the "traditional dressing" is usually applied.

If I have to tie something that small to catch a fish . I think I'd have to move up to dynamite . Drop it in wait for the whosh and go pic"em up . Very neat work.

Thanks Guys! For the feedback.
Toadfrog - Tying on a #6 hook was a breeze, when I was making those ghosties. Now it was more of a pain in the butt when I started on those #14, when I got the end by the eye, my threade would slip off and I would loose a bit of temper too (not pretty). But be proud I got the done "whew".

JJ - Thanks for the info on the Hornbreg, all I had to do was to go that eatra hackle :D I cheated on the scuds, I used nymph yarn. I know I should have put a backing on it, but was out of sandwich bags.
