I have had some success in the past with hair jigs. The Lindners' always give good info on fishing .

Yup, its all about creating a demand for sales. With a gazillion walleye suitable soft plastics available, hair jigs might be a less competitive market.
Myself, can get by with exactly one soft plastic for wallys - 3" pearl Powerbait Twitchtail Minnow. Ideal for jigging nocturnal feeding predators.
