Here are a couple of simple jig heads I tied today ready for a go at the perch on my local canal.
They are tied on 1/16oz #2 Matzuo jig heads. Very simple, tied using buck tail with 3 strands of Krystal Ripple Flash. The collar is UV Straggle Fritz.

Simple they are, but, I expect them to be very effective. Tied in Perch attracting colors. No reason at all for complicating a jig with a bunch of material as long as the fish like it....................

Sparse - I like them for when the weather gets cold & the bass just want to snack

I'm with the majority here. Nice looking and good color choices for perch. Look like an appetizer for fish not quite ready to put on the feedbag.

Thanks guys.
I have been reading 'How to fish with jigs' by Lacey E Gee & Erwin D Sias and followed their advice to keep it simple.

Really like the sparse ties David. I always have to tell myself "less is more" and resist the temptation to just add a bit more hair!
