Here are some flash ducks and a Tail gunner that I added rattles to. Need to get some smaller rattles so I can do some in smaller sizes. Thought the rattle baits would be an attractant to fish since noise is amplified in water. View attachment 2View attachment 3

Jigman, I found the 3mm rattles on ebay and paid $10.99 for 50 with free shipping. Don't know about this possum since it was sent to me by a member here. I know the one that wandered into our yard last week wasn't very happy once the dog got a hold of him. Opposum hair is translucent with black tips, really like it and the crappie do too.

Nice Jim!!!!!!! Only thing I ever worried about was the glass of the rattle if it hit on any rocks!

I had a rattle break on a hook set sending glass & bb's down the gullet of the fish - kinda hard on the fish when you catch & release.

I stopped with the glass & went to a plastic rattle or made one myself out of a drinking straw.

These are glass rattles but they have thread, chenille and hackle wrapped over the top so even if a rattle broke I don't think much would get through all that if any. It's a crappie jig so I don't think I'll be setting the hook hard enough to break one. Might do an experiment to see how hard these are to break. A rattle that has chenille and hackle over the top which acts as a cushion shouldn't break even if you hit a rock on the cast.
