That's a Pearl Olive chenille from BPS.

I had a small supply of a green/gold chenille from Spirit River. I'm pretty sure it was old stuff; I got it as part of my starter fly-tying kit from a friend. Haven't been able to find more of it. Loved that color chenille. This pearl olive is close, but not quite. Still looks good and buggy, though.

Looks very buggy. That chenille does look good, hate you can't find more of it.

Ok, I decided to see how small I could take this pattern

I have some size small bead chain, so used that for eyes. Olive antron / squirrel dubbing blend instead of chenille, and some brown/black barred centipede legs instead of the sili legs I used before. Hackle remained the same. Hook size was 18! I'll have to get some pics up as soon as I can, but that will be Monday sometime.

Boy, I sure did miss this one. Excellent-looking tie.

I have missed seeing that too. It is an excellent tie, very realistic. I bet that catches a few. :icon14:
