That 2-tone green looks good. Bet that would make a nice walleye jig up here in the spring time. :jig:

Here it is wet.Very nice profile.Trouble with these Ultra Minnows is building the collar up with just enough thread because it is flared so much.I have found out that bigger then 2 oz. and the hair just aint long enough for them.

Look up bluefish so you can see a pic, Lostpole.Get about 25 lbs. have teeth that will steal any lure or teaser without you even knowing about it.They are like pirahanas, lol.Fight really hard. Most people just use metal lures for them.Diamond jigs, and the such because they lose all thier stuff. Not the best eating, but fuuuuunnnnnn.

Fished salt for most of my life and never seen or caught one of those. I'll have to question Pops. I'm sure the lures will do the job. They're purty. No more eye painting?

There's one, lol.Notice the metal in his mouth, there are a few reasons for that, lol. The bavby ones are called snappers and will bite on anything. We take a small crankbait with us and a ultra light rod as they are great bait for flounder as cut bait..It's like going trout fishing, lol.

Lookin Good ... The worse hurt I have ever bad put on me by a fish was by a dead Blue
that I had strung up with several others ... I was ready to go home from the pier and I pulled in the stringer and while messin around with them one slid down the stringer with his mouth open and hit me on the right thumb ... bait caster thumb .. and split it wide open ... these were small "Gulf" blues 3 to 5 lbs. Some years there are some up to 30 lbs in the Gulf but not all ways .. the Atlantic Cost has the Big ones.
Darn things will hit anything .. never used steel leaders on them .. all ways took a chance with 30 lb + mono leader ... Had to change them pretty often and you would still get cut off some

I was cleaning and fluxing lead all day.Must have about 30 lbs. readt to go.Had to pour a couple.I was trying for an olive top,a little to light but think it will work.Olive, kelly green over grey and a touch of white in the belly.Went down to a 5/0 hook.2 oz. jig.Chartruese pearl flash. It was a reused hook so some crap in the eye,I hate it when that happens.lol.
