A "Fuzzy Auto" ???
Something I thought of today. I did the silli-legs kind of like LedHed's Auto jig, and used some green/gold chenille I have. Jig is a store-bought Arkie 1/64th. I filed off the grub-keeper barb, but left the rest of the lead collar. Definitely going to need some better jigs. I'm not set up for painting jigheads, except a few colors of fingernail polish that I have.

Awesome tye Allen! A real tribute to the Auto pattern.
That is the style chivo (chris salmon on bigbluegill) is selling as his "signature jigs" on a 1/80th and 1/64th jig. Yeah he thought of it all by his self - had an epiphany - came to him in a dream - yeah that's the ticket.... Try to get some lead heads out to you tomorrow. We got a couple of guys on here that do sell some awesome lead head jigs (and materials) - even custom heads you can't get elsewhere.

I tried getting crazy angler to make me a mold but no luck. My luck and patience lacks on modifying molds. I've wrecked 7 different ones trying. |

Thanks all.
LedHed, I think Jim Gronaw over on BBG has done something similar as well. I'm almost out of that color of chenille. I've got maybe 6" left. I've got a darker, brownish-olive green with a little bit of sparkle in it, but I really like that green/gold. I may have to start looking around.

RE: A "Fuzzy Auto" ???
AOK, a decent pair of flush cutters will nip off the collar barbs cleanly, avoiding dealing with lead dust.
Your ties are always AOK. |
