Is this a long ear?
I caught this while bass fishing the other day and I have no idea if it is a long ear or a red breast.......what do you think?

Looks like what we call a "River Brim" or "Swift Water Brim" & "Red Belly"
Not a "Red Ear"(Shellcracker) ..

I would go with a long ear or a longear cross. Most long ears I've caught have a lot more color. I know diet has a lot to do with color as does does season and water make up

Red breast, based upon taxonomic appearance and locale.

I agree! Longears look a lot different.
