Very nice, I use the poison tail for swim jigs too but only in the 3/8oz size, I find that the regular casting jig from Do-it works better for swimming in the 1/4oz and 3/16oz size. Is that silver vein paint on the first one? I use that and gold from time to time but on that jig it looks awesome, I'm going to try that with a similar skirt pattern, awesome!!

That paint is from Skirts unlimited it is their black/silver foundation used for their Illusion series paint. If you ever use it make sure it's a light coat (I get the head just hot enough to cover the lead and it looks dry instead of glossing over) that powder is a little thicker than most and it has a tendency to run down the head and form a bulb. With a "dry" coat it turns out just like the head in the pic once baked. Thanks for the input. Also I wasn't crazy about using the 1/4 oz head on a swim jig but it balanced and swims well with that Reaction Innovations little dipper. I just hope the fish will eat it this fall.

illusion base rocks. I think mission and I will get along well. I like crappies and gills but bass is where my heart is.

If you like that color go to Columbia coatings, you can get both the silver and gold vein powder paint along with others for a much better price and they look the same.
