Picture of Port Fourchon
Here is a pic of Port Fourchon.... in South Louisiana. I was heading in to this port, when I decided to head west to Galveston, Tx instead. The roads are 4' under water. The boats in the picture are tied to the dock!!! I am glad I turned west!!!!

RE: Picture of Port Fourchon
Was your decision to change ports due to a hunch?

Hopefully some of that rain will bring relief to the midwest.

Hawn.... I kept getting updates on storm coming further west... Originally it was called to hit panhandle of Florida... I have rode out storms in port Fourchon before... And wished I wasn't there.... So it didn't take long to decide to turn west! I have 54 people on board this boat, and I am responsible for their safety... That picture says it all.. That's not safe!!! That port is still under water.... And will probably be closed for a while. Galveston was the best choice!

Hawn, the weather forecast for Saturday here in St.Louis is calling for as much as 6 inches of rain in some areas. We certainly could use it,just not all at one time.
